Vintage Games Wedding

Tuesday, December 28th, 2010

We’ve been sitting on this little gem for a while now.

Vintage Games.  Ummm, YES!  When Sarah came to me with this concept, I was SO on board!  This is a styled shoot that illustrates a fun way to incorporate a couples’ love for fun and games!  We used rubix cubes for a party favor, Mai incorporated REAL bingo pieces in the bouquets, Posh girls used real game pieces in the escort cards and BINGO cards as menus! Melody added scrabble letters to her cake and make chocolate bingo cards too!  GET OUT!  We also were so lucky as to have The Knot feature this concept in their latest issue of The Knot Southern California.  AAAAAHHHHHH!!!

Winter Wonderland Wedding

Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010

Romantic.  Sweet.  Unique.  FREEZING.  But totally worth it.  I teamed up with some seriously awesome people to put together this winter wedding inspiration with cable knit sweaters galore.  And it was seriously dangerous.  Especially since we pulled off on the side of the road and trespassed onto this amazing property because it was just too perfect.  It was even more perfect when the owner came home in the middle of the shoot.  But he was rad, and said, “have fun!”.  Just wanted to share.

“My dress is Jessica McClintock, it’s a dress they had for a vintge inspired prom dress line and never sold any! I got the last one in the store, they had sent all the rest back. I bought it at the K Street Mall in Sacramento at a JM store.”

Burlap Christmas Stocking

Tuesday, December 21st, 2010

Ok, final piece to our Burlap Christmas.  How cute is this adorable stocking?  I was cruising the streets of Portland with my good friend, Annmarie, and she showed me the most amazing store, Collage on Alberta.  They had these adorable burlap stockings hanging in the window and Annmarie told me I HAD to blog them.  Aren’t they the most perfect thing to top off our Burlap Christmas decor?  You can use so many different types of fabric or paper or yarn to make these your own.  Enjoy!

Max & Margaux

Monday, December 6th, 2010

Max & Margaux.  What a humble, intentional and gracious couple.  It was my extreme pleasure to have played a part in their amazing wedding.  In N Out truck, street taco cart, bluegrass band, and the most INCREDIBLE vendor line up.  It was FOR SURE a night to remember.  Thank you Max & Margaux, for giving me the honor of knowing you and calling you both friends.  Enjoy their story.

Beard & Teeth

Wednesday, December 1st, 2010

Alicia & Scott are hilarious!  Scott is one of the writers for It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, so of course they wanted their wedding to portray their awesome sense of humor.  They also have the BEST story of how they got together.  Scott is known for his well manicured beard.  Alicia is known for exceptionally large (yet beautiful) teeth.  Sooooo, we took that and with the help from Karrie Pyke Designs and Posh Paperie, made that the apex of our design.  It was my most favorite element.  The rest just fell in to place, especially with the clean, crisp style of Carissa from JL Designs.  She spray painted succulents white!!  WHAT??  They realized my *not so secret* dream with their 1st dance to my all time favorite song, “Glory of Love” by Peter Cetera.  AND Scott’s dancing in his scuba gear.  And who freaking better to capture the entire thing???  Max Wanger.  Done Deal.  Enjoy their story.
