Hitched!

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

I got snagged.  wrangled.  roped. herded. I loved every second of it.  The ladies of Bash, Please and Urbanic put together the most out of this world wedding event I have ever seen.  It was full of the rock stars of all rock stars.  The talent that was in this place, Smog Shoppe, was overwhelming and mind blowing.  I feel so blessed, humbled, and honored to have played my little part in the revolution that is happening in wedding design.  Take a peek at our table.  My inspiration?  Well, I was sitting on my couch, 12 months pregnant, in the middle of August eating Otter Pops.  I basically took an entire ream from the freezer, swiped my scissors across all 9 of them at once, then ate them all like corn on the cob.  AMAZING.  That was my inspiration for our tablescape.  I was amazed at how well the visions of me and my Hitched team member, Dandelion Ranch came together.  We used tin cans as vases, hung them above the table filled with fluffy, white flowers.  We hung fabric strips that mimicked Otter Pops as a table “skirt”.  As a party favor for the guests we filled a tin can with ice and a row of otter pops for them to enjoy.  SO FUN!  Go here to check out the location of the next Hitched Event!

I wanted to share a peek into one of the most amazing (non) bridal shows I have ever had the pleasure of being invited to participate in. The most amazingly creative and talented vendors along with a killer venue (smog shoppe) mixed with a TONload of cool people equals SO MUCH FUN. Thanks to Shark Pig for the sweet vid and the girls from Bash Please for throwing it down!!!

So, I thought it would be fun to show you my new digs.  How did I get so lucky to share a creative office space with the ONE. the ONLY.  AARON SHINTAKU??????  I am loving this new space.  More room, and a great view of 17th street!  Please stop by and visit us anytime!  Mr Haack and Aaron did a GREAT job of transforming the space.  And I had to give my 2 design cents, you know.

Lavender & Eucalyptus

Monday, October 4th, 2010

How can anything I have to say about the design of this beauty even COMPARE to the art that The Image Is Found created with their lenses?  These pictures say more than I ever could :)  But, just because I love to talk:  lavender, bundt cakes, garden dahlias, and eucalyptus.  Classic, Gardeny, and perfect.  Enjoy Melissa & Brian’s story.  I know I did.
